While those dismissed have found out about the decision for their dismissals from the announcement of the decrees, they shared their objections and reactions through social media.

According to the reports of Evrensel newspaper, at Kocaeli University, professors Onur Hamzaoğlu, Nilay Etiler, and Kuvvet Lordoğlu; associate professor Yücel Demirer; and, assistant professor Hakan Koçak, along with many other ‘Peace Academics’, have been dismissed.

Faculty member at Munzur University’s History Department, professor Candan Badem has also shared his reactions to the decision of his dismissal by stating: “Good morning. They have also dismissed me from civil service through today’s statutory decree. There is no evidence; but there is a verdict. Islamic fascism!”

Interrogation and attempted arrest of Candan Badem earlier last month within the scope of FETÖ/PYD operations had received reactions as Badem had stated he ‘was atheist and Marxist, having nothing to do with Gülen’.

Celil Kaya from Ankara University has also shared information about his dismissal through the same decree by saying: “I have been dismissed from civil service under the decree announced last night. I don’t know if this wrong decision would be reversed but I am not going to say ‘ok’ to this lawlessness!”

Kaya has also stated that 7 members of Eğitim Sen (Union of Education and Science Workers) have also been dismissed.
