Detained co-chair of Turkey’s HDP (People’s Democratic Party), Selahattin Demirtaş, has sent short messages as the referendum on presidential system nears.

Making a call on people to cast a ‘no’ vote, Demirtaş said: “Are you aware that we have become the most unhappy people of the world? Shorten the way that goes to happiness, serenity, and trust! Say NO!”

“Fears of separation, negligence, and polarization have begun to take over everything we have. We all deserve a life that is honored and in coexistence. Say NO!”

“Don’t let them prolong this horror film. Shorten the way that goes to democracy, peace, and solidarity. Say NO!”

Using the slogan of his party at the end of his messages, Demirtaş said ‘We shall all win together.’
