We were in the middle of an exorcizing session in İstanbul, at Turkey’s first ever ‘hospital of jinn expulsion’.
During the session, an engaged woman who was brought from Antep is first taken into the room. There are a couple of people around her. Mehmet Ali Taşkıran, one of the hodjas doing the exorcizing, gets help from Huzeyfe, Zülfikar, and Zülkarneyn, whom he calls as his ‘Muslim angels.’ He asks the wicked jinns: ‘Why are you in this body?’ And, he tells his own good angels to ‘go in’ to the body of the woman to take out the jinns.
We share the video without much comment.
Turkey’s Ministry of Health released a statement on December 4th, two days after our visit to the hospital, announcing that the center was shut down. In the statement, it was explained that the Ministry has not granted any sort of ‘license or permission to such institution’. The Ministry also informed the public that ‘an investigation about the claims has been started and a file of criminal complaint has been issued.’
