Alleged ISIL members claimed to have plotted attack on Justice March detained in Turkey’s Kocaeli

Police Department in Turkey’s Kocaeli province is reported to have caught and detained 4 alleged members of ISIL who are claimed to have plotted an attack on the Justice March of the opposition.

According to reports, the police in Kocaeli had launched an operation upon receiving intelligence from the police department in Kayseri province.

A man with a code name of Abu Husain was stopped on the highway as he was driving a black minivan around Kartepe district of Kocaeli.

Though there were no crime elements found in the car or on the man – who already had a criminal record -, messages found on his mobile suggested that he was plotting to carry out an attack on the march with the car, officials said.

‘Suspects had placed AKP banners on a minibus they had rented and they were on to a major provocation’, the Governor of Kayseri Süleyman Kamçı said.

Security across Kocaeli has been tightened.
