Erdoğan: ‘I do not care about what the West says on death penalty’
President Erdoğan held a public meeting in Konya today.
During his speech, which lasted over an hour, Erdoğan said: “Demanding death penalty is a right demand! I don’t care about what the West says. I care about my nation. Is there capital punishment in most parts of the world? Yes, there is. My nation is now putting a request to the Parliament. Then, just as the Parliament lifted the death penalty before, it should again discuss it and make the decision.”
