Erdoğan naps at joint news conference with Ukrainian president

Erdogan arrived in Kiev for an evidently tiring face to face meeting with Poroshenko, and nodded off during the leaders' ensuing encounter with the media.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan went to Kiev for an official visit on Monday, where he met with his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko. During the talks, the parties signed an action plan for the development of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Turkey for 2017-2019. At a joint press conference, the leaders of the two countries made statements on bilateral cooperation, Crimea, the conflict in the east of Ukraine, and the situation with the Crimean Tatars.

A fragment of a video taken at the joint press conference, however, reveals that Erdogan may have been more ready for bed than bi-lateral talks, according to Sputnik. The video shows the Turkish President nodding off several times during the Ukrainian President's speech; at the 45th second Poroshenko can be seen knocking his hand on the table to wake him up.
