Father of the soldier claimed to have been burnt by ISIL: ‘We are only told to be patient'
It’s been claimed since very early morning hours of today (December 23) that ISIL had released a video where they burnt two soldiers whom they had kidnapped near Al-Bab. Aydın Taş, father of one of the two soldiers, talked to BirGün about his son Sefter Taş, saying: “Until now, we have never been informed in detail; and, this time, too, they again just said: ‘we are investigating it.’”

22 year old soldier Sefter Taş was kidnapped last year on 1 September 2015 by ISIL from Şehit Mehmet border patrol station of Kilis. Although over a year has passed since that time, no news were heard of kidnapped soldier Sefter Taş.
As BirGün, we had contacted the family of Taş at that time, too, trying to obtain information about it. Following the earlier claims of today about ‘ISIL burning two soldiers from Turkey’, and, we have contacted his father Aydın Taş again, as his son’s image and name was mentioned in the video.
Taş said: “We are deeply grieved! What can I say, really? We do not have any information, either. Until now, we have never been informed in detail. And, this time, too, they again just said: ‘we are investigating it.’ We do not know the truth about it; we are going to wait again.”
In its publication Konstantiniyye, ISIL had shared pictures of soldier Sefter Taş back in April this year. His father Taş had also said at that time that ‘officials were not giving them any information but rather telling them to be just patient.’
