Governor of Turkey’s Şırnak denies distribution of aid to students in Cizre

A group of students from Turkey’s Istanbul Technical University wanted to send boots and coats for 318 students of İstikal Elementary School in Cizre district of Turkey’s Şırnak province, where people are going through tough times both because of harsh winter and limited financial means, as well as, the latest operations of armed forces in and around the region.

Governor’s office of Şırnak decided to block distribution of the aid to the students, basing its decision to the ongoing state of emergency in force throughout the country. Governor’s office stated it would instead spare budget to meet the need of these students.
