Head of CHP’s women’s branch criticizes Turkey’s officials over crisis with Holland

Fatma Köse, head of the women’s branch of Turkey’s main opposition party CHP, gave statements about the recent diplomatic crisis between Holland and Turkey.

Asserting ‘what happened in Holland was unacceptable’, Köse added ‘Turkey should have obeyed relevant protocols'.

Köse said: “Nobody has the right to treat this country’s ministers and parliamentarians that way: I must accept that. However, if there had been certain protocols signed between countries, then, we also must obey such protocols. The problem is not going by the terms of the protocol and putting Turkey in this kind of a situtaion. This is something that the current government must think about. Apparently, there had been a relevant protocol and it had been signed by the current president (Erdoğan). You sign a something and then you violate it. This is very wrong. And, nobody has the right to bring Republic of Turkey to such position in the face of foreign countries..."
