İstanbul Bar Association of Turkey files a criminal complaint against elections board

İstanbul Bar Association of Turkey has filed a criminal complaint against YSK’s (Supreme Board of Elections) head, Sadi Güven, and its members for ‘altering the referendum results’ and for ‘malpractice in office.’

In the complaint, the Association gave reference to Article 98 of law on elections, where it is clearly stated that ballot papers and envelopes that are not stamped with the official stamp of the Board must be considered void, and stated that the YSK ‘has violated the law and attempted to alter the results on purpose.’
