Police in Turkey go after 1075 fugitive suspects of a range of crimes

Turkey’s police department launched major operation across all 81 provinces at 4020 addresses to catch suspects of a range of crimes, including murder, fraud, drug trafficking, theft, as well as, ‘alleged membership to FETÖ’.

Named as ‘They are no longer wanted’, the operation took place with the participation of 6425 officers.

As a result, 471 have been arrested. While 19 of them are suspects of murder; 238 are suspects of theft; and, 4 are arrested over allegations on membership to FETÖ, the group claimed to be behind the failed coup attempt.

The current operation involves a total of 1075 suspects against whom warrants of arrest had been previously issued.
