Police: Traffic violations not fined during Eid because ‘price been paid on July 15’!

Kocaeli Police Department has shared a written statement and said ‘minor traffic violations throughout Eid were to be tolerated and not to be fined as the citizens had paid the price for it on the night of July 15.’

In the text of the command forwarded today by Kocaeli Police Department to traffic units of the security forces, the following message was shared: “In accordance with the command we have received from our General Directorate, there will not be any fees issued, between the Eid Holiday dates of September 10th and 18th, for violations of rules enforced by monitoring systems of EDS, TEDES, MOBESE, radar, etc.; and, drivers found in violation of such rules will be warned, and, then, will be wished safe trips by saying ‘You have paid the price for this on the night of July 15th.”

Kocaeli Police Department officials have claimed the message was written mistakenly

Shortly after the message was distributed and spread, officials from Kocaeli Police Department released an explanation stating that the notes in the text were written ‘by mistake.’

According to the reports of DHA, explanation of the Kocaeli police read as: ‘Statements in the text have been expressed by mistake. The purpose of the command we have received from Directorate was to inform our citizens that the enforcement of radar rules were to be applied in line with the related regulations and that citizens violating the rules would firstly be warned, and, then, issued a fee if the violations are repeated.’
