Purge in Turkey continues: 35 gendarme staff taken into custody
As investigations into the failed coup attempt of July 15 in Turkey continue, a new operation in 20 provinces was launched Monday morning (June 5).
According to latest reports, a total of 35 members of gendarme on duty – 16 commissioned and 19 noncoms – were taken into custody this morning in scope of the investigations handled by Ankara’s chief prosecutor.
