Total of 28,961 people suspended in relation to the coup attempt
As a result of the coup attempt that was tried to be carried out in Turkey on Friday evening, 15 July 2016, 208 people have lost their lives. In this bloody coup attempt, 1491 people got wounded. While 24 of the coup attempters were killed, 50 of them were wounded.
After the attempt that had left the streets in bloodshed, major operations got started throughout Turkey.
As of 16:30, 19 July 2016, the numbers of those who are suspended, dismissed, and arrested, in scope of these operations are as the following:

EDUCTION MINISTRY PERSONNEL SUSPENDED: 15,200
RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS DIRECTORATE STAFF SUSPENDED: 492
PRIME MINISTRY STAFF SUSPENDED: 257
