Turkey’s Erdoğan threatens opposition over Justice March: ‘Don’t be surprised if judiciary invites you, too’

Speaking on the general assembly of Turkish Exporters’ Assembly, President Erdoğan threatened the supporters of the Justice March launched by main opposition leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

Breaking his silence about the march on its 3rd day, President Erdoğan said: “If they think that they will achieve justice this way, they’re wrong; it’s impossible. Walking around with banners saying justice does not bring justice! Don’t be surprised if tomorrow judiciary invites you, too!”

Main opposition party CHP’s chair Kılıçdaroğlu launched the march after a CHP MP Enis Berberoğlu was sentenced to 25 years in jail in the case on MİT trucks. Also a journalist, lawmaker Berberoğlu is charged with 'political and military espionage'.

While thousands of people joined the call of Kılıçdaroğlu on the streets, several civil society groups have also supported him.
Opposition party HDP (People’s Democratic Party), which has its two co-chairs and about a dozen of MPs jailed and several others facing trials, has also expressed support for the cause.
