Turkey’s main opposition warns AKP over Qatar crisis: ‘Give up Rabia!’

Talking at his party’s parliamentary group meeting on Tuesday (May 6), Chair of Turkey’s main opposition party CHP, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, gave statements about current state of affairs in the country, including the approach of Turkey’s ruling party AKP to the recent Qatar crisis.

Firmly criticizing AKP’s position with regards to Muslim Brotherhood, Kılıçdaroğlu said: “Qatar is going through this problem because of its support to Muslim Brotherhood. Justice and Development Party (AKP) must stop supporting the Muslim Brotherhood. It must give up on using the Rabia sign!”

Calling out to AKP, Kılıçdaroğlu said: “You’ve adapted Rabia sign as the symbol of youru party... It is neither local, nor national. You’ve embraced the four fingers of a terrorist organizaiton as your symbol! Turkey must not take sides between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.”
