Ankara court rejects release demand for hunger striker Nuriye Gülmen

A court in Ankara on Nov. 27 ruled that hunger striking educator Nuriye Gülmen must remain in prison, rejecting a prosecutor’s request for her release based on the fact “there is no risk of escape.” HDN
