Member countries of OIC to convene in Turkey for an urgent meeting on al-Aqsa crisis

Foreign Ministry of Turkey announced in a written statement that the foreign ministers of member countries of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) will convene in İstanbul on August 1st to discuss the escalated tension in east Jerusalem following Israel’s restrictions on use of Harem al-Sherif by Muslims.

Without further details, the statement of the foreign ministry of Turkey released on Friday (July 28) said the convention will be held with the ‘urgent call of Turkey for an extraordinary meeting’.
