Teacher gives students hanging ropes to demand death penalty in Turkey

At a public elementary school in İstanbul, form teacher Aydın Erekmen posted disturbing images on his personal social media accounts, where he shared photographs of his students with hanging ropes in their hands.

According to the reports of T24 news portal of Turkey, teacher Erekmen of Gaspıralı Elementary School gave hanging ropes to the hands of his second graders and took their pictures, then, shared it on his personal social media account.

Sharing his post after the deadly bomb attacks in İstanbul’s Beşiktaş district, which claimed lives of 8 civilians and 36 police officers, teacher Erekmen said ‘make or break’ and wrote further: “President!! We want justice!!’

As his post was spread quickly and received major reactions, he deleted it.

In an earlier post from 11 November 2016, it is also observed that Erekmen has a picture with his students where they are all giving a ‘formal salute.’ In another picture, a hanging rope is seen in Erekmen’s car.
