Firuzağa attackers freed

The police released three men related to the Islamist group attacked on Radiohead fans at an Istanbul record store.

A mob of two dozen Islamists stormed the music store in Firuzağa, Cihangir neighborhood on Friday night, beating up customers attending a Radiohead record launch party for drinking alcohol, listening to the music and not fasting during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Three men were taken into custody by police Saturday night regarding the attack. One was released the same night.

Following the legal process of the Police Department, announced that the rest is released as well.

Also, in the past similar attacks have raided art galleries in the same area, for drinking alcohol.

Ruling Islamist AKP government is being widely criticized for undermining the secular tradition of the country.
