ISIL propaganda from comics magazine Misvak

The ‘comics’ magazine Misvak, known for its affinity for AKP, has published a cartoon where ISIL is praised.

In the cartoon, there are two figures emphasized as being ISIL members talking. The first figure says, ‘The heathens that have killed two million of our brothers in ten years have called us terrorists for standing up against cruelty. What do you say Akhi?’ The second figure replies in Arabic, ‘Elhamdülillah... Hassbinallahı ve nimel vekil’, meaning ‘Thanks and praise to God... God is enough for us...’

The same magazine had also received wide-spread criticism previously when it had published a cartoon portraying a figure swearing at Berkin Elvan, 14 years old boy who lost his life due to a police shooting pepper gas capsule over his head during the Gezi protests of 2013.
