Turkey’s AKP designates nuclear plants as ‘state-funded investments to be given priority’

Turkey’s ruling party AKP has designated ‘nuclear plants and licensed warehousing investments’ as its priority among state funded investments.

Announced in the Official Gazette (Resmi Gazete) earlier in the week (May 3), the decision of the Council of Ministers involves ‘the investments that the government will give priority in funding.’

Turkey currently has two nuclear power plant projects, in Akkuyu district of southern province Mersin and in northern province of Sinop.
