Turkey's Erdoğan threatens main opposition leader: 'You may end up unable to go out'

In a recent statement given about the now world-famous Justice March of the opposition in Turkey, chair of AKP and the president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan threatened the head of main opposition CHP, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

“That person (Kılıçdaroğlu) who keeps talking about ‘the streets’ has to know very well that he actually himself can end up not being able to go out to streets. I am talking very openly: you may end up not being able to go out to streets”, Erdoğan said.

As pro-government media reported on Erdoğan’s threatening remarks with pride, Türkiye and Yeni Şafak newspapers made it their front-page headlines on Thursday (July 12).

Erdoğan also asserted earlier that the Justice March 'could not have been held if it was not for the protection provided by the government'.
