Police seals doors of Progressive Lawyers Association of Turkey
Activities of Turkey's Progressive Lawyers' Association (ÇHD) have just been suspended following the latest announcement of the Ministry of Interior Affairs.
Police and state officials sealed the doors of ÇHD Ankara branch.
Representatives of ÇHD stated 'they did not recognize the decision of the Interior Ministry'.
Under the 11th article of the state of emergency law, 370 civil society associations throughout 39 provinces has been banned from running their activities.
Other human rights and social justice organizations, such as Agenda Child and Association of Mesopotamia, are among the associations listed in the Ministry's latest crackdown.
