Students at Turkey's Ankara University attacked by aggressors again

Ankara University campus, which has been under strict police surveillance for over a month by now, has once again become the target of far-right nationalist groups.

Students who had protested against their professors’ dismissals with the decision of emergency decrees had been attacked by police previously on campus. Police had also attacked faculty members and took into custody several people during the initial demonstrations last month.

According to the latest reports from Cebeci campus of Ankara University, a group of far-right nationalists attacked students in front of Department of Political Science by throwing at them stones, trash bins, chairs, and other materials from the surroundings. Also using sticks to attack the students, the aggressors also led the riot police forces towards the site where students were sitting.

With the help of the aggressors, police blocked the exit way and used tear gas on campus. Two students were taken into custody.
