According to latest reports, a nation-wide operation against ‘FETÖ members within Turkish police force’ has been launched in all 81 provinces of Turkey this morning.

803 police officers are reported to have been taken into custody in scope of this most recent operation against those alleged to have ties to Hizmet Movement of exiled Islamic cleric Fethullah Gülen, who is claimed by Turkey’s government as the mastermind behind the coup attempt in the county last year.

Over 47 thousand people have been arrested, hundreds of thousands public employees have been either suspended or dismissed; hundreds of journalists have been detained; a number of media outlets have been closed; and thousands of civil society organizations have been shut under the crackdown of Turkey's government following this failed coup attempt.
