AKP and MHP voted for parliamentary recess fraudulently, says Turkey's opposition
In a surprise parliamentary action, Turkey’s ruling party and MHP (Nationalist Movement Party) have voted on a recess until February 7th.
While MPs from AKP and MHP applauded loudly the decision for a recess, CHP’s İstanbul MP Barış Yarkadaş and İzmir MP Mustafa Balbay announced from their social media accounts that some MPs of AKP and MHP used votes fraudulently.
MP Balbay stated: “We have proof that AKP closed the Parliament (for recess) fraudulently. Five AKP MPs voted both from the system and by sending in their votes...”
