Authorities in Turkey still refuse to place a monument in memory of victims of Ankara Massacre

On August 10th, families of those who lost their lives in the Ankara Massacre of 10 October 2015; those who were injured in this deadly attack of ISIL; and, representatives of civil society groups gathered in front of the train station to commemorate their lost loved ones on the 22nd month after one of the most brutal terror attacks in Turkey’s history.

The group repeated their demand for the square in front of the station to be given the name of ‘October 10 Peace Square’ and drew attention to the fact that their request from authorities for placement of a monument in memory of 103 people who lost their lives has also not been met yet.
