CHP holds an emergency meeting after operations on Cumhuriyet and HDP
Turkey’s main opposition party CHP convenes in an emergency meeting with the call of the Chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu following the tense developments experienced within the past week in regards to operations against Cumhuriyet newspaper and People’s Democratic Party (HDP).
CHP Deputy Chair Tekin Bingöl announced that the emergency meeting will be held today (November 5) in Ankara. According to the reports of soL news portal, while the central executive board of CHP will be meeting today, the council of the party will also convene at noon on Sunday, November 6th to discuss the most recent tension brought about across the country within the past one week.
