Court in Turkey decided for Author Aslı Erdoğan and linguist Necmiye Alpay to be released.
Erdoğan and Alpay, along with 7 other journalists and media professionals from the shut-down newspaper Özgür Gündem, have been arrested for 4 months on charges of ‘membership and support to PKK.’
In her testimony before the judge today, during the first hearing of the case, author Aslı Erdoğan said: “I am only an author. I’m not responsible for anything aside from the thing that I have written.”
