Funeral prayers to be played nonstop at new martyrs monument near Turkey’s Bosporus Bridge
A monument is under construction at the Anatolian side of the Bosporus Bridge (now officially named as July 15 Martyrs Bridge) in memory of 249 people who lost their lives in the coup attempt of last summer.
According to reports of Hasan Ay from Turkey’s pro-AKP Sabah newspaper, the monument will be opened with a ceremony on July 15th with the attendance of President Erdoğan.
It’s also been reported that while the names of all 249 killed people will be placed on the monument, an Islamic funeral prayer (also referred to as Salat) will be played non-stop.
‘Visitors of the monument will be able to listen to this Salat player which will be played all day and all night and commemorate the martyrs’, Ay wrote in his article.
