Host at Turkey’s TRT reacts to Schulz: ‘Have we done something to your mother?’
On November 30th, during the program called Derin Analiz (Deep Analysis) on Turkey’s state-run channel TRT, analyst Yiğit Bulut and moderator Hasan Kurtulmuş talked about EU-Turkey relations and the latest decision of EP to freeze talks with Turkey in response to ongoing rights violations perpetrated by Turkey’s government.
When referring to the reactions and statements of head of the European Parliament Martin Schulz about Turkey’s condition, Hasan Kurtulmuş said: “So, what has the man who walks around as the President of the European Parliament done exactly? Whose problems would he really be able to understand? He cannot even have an understanding of the German people; how could he possible understand us? They act in line with the orders they get…What have we done to you that you have such enmity towards us? Have we done something with his (Schulz) mother? Have we had a relation with his mother or family? Really, what have we done? And, you point finger at a President of a country. Plus, you (Schulz) are not an elected person. You are person who came to that role through appointment.
