Suspended teacher Karadağ taken into custody for protesting
Suspended teacher Acun Karadağ has been forcefully taken into custody along with 6 others for holding a sit-in in front of their school in Ankara.

Teacher of Social Sciences Acun Karadağ is among those who have been suspended from their positions with the order of an emergency decree passed on October 29th.
As Karadağ and his colleagues and supporters gathered in front of his former school Halim Şaşmaz Middle School in Altındağ district of the capital city of Ankara to hold a sit-in to protest the suspensions, police intervened harshly and tried to block them from protesting.
Despite the effort of CHP Ankara MP Ali Haydar Hakverdi to settle the dispute at the site, police forcefully took into custody chair of Eğitim Sen (Union of Education and Science Workers) Ankara Branch Sultan Saygılı, chair of Ankara branch of the Union of Energy and Mine Industries Workers Murat Çeşme, Hüseyin Saygılı, Ömer Kök, Saniye Erenler Öztürk and Gizem Erken, along with teacher Acun Karadağ.
